(Mushroom) Workshop

Please join us on May 28th from 1 pm-3 pm at the Noelville Food Forest! In cooperation with the French River Horticultural Society, we will demonstrate how to inoculate a perennial mushroom garden bed. This mushroom has many names, including wine cap/King Stropharia/ garden giant and is both beneficial to the garden soil and plants as well as being an edible mushroom!
During this workshop, we will discuss: how to inoculate your garden bed, the materials you will need, how to maintain your garden bed and expand it, how to identify this mushroom, how it benefits the garden, and how to harvest/ prepare it. There is no cost to the workshop, but we ask that you register through our website so we can anticipate numbers (see the link at the end). If you would like, you can purchase a spawn at the workshop for your garden at home.
